ExpandROLLERGIRL
I am a licensed teacher, former rollergirl, and dodgeballer.
In the fall of 2011, I was going for my 3rd masters degree at PSU when I became very ill and almost died.
A week out of the hospital I was attending and passing classes.
She is supposed to rest!

Everything went well untl my teachers cut the size of our exam note sheet from 8 1/2 x 11 to a 4 x 6 note card. I failed a test for the first time in my life.
My doctor found memory impairment related to my illness, so I called PSU's Disability Resource Center for help.
At the DRC we care about you and want to help you.
Can you ask my accounting teachers if they will let me use the larger notes sheet?
They let us use one for a year and a half, so they might be cool with it.
I've been through a lot, and I don't want to drop out of school due to illness.
At the DRC we care about you and want to help you.
...so I talked to my teachers, and 2 out of 3 are cool with the larger sheet.
You have approved "formulas for math classes," but I don't take math...and I asked for an 8 1/2 x 11 note sheet.
I haven't received an answer from you...
Finals are a week away...if I don't take and pass my exams, I can't register for next term.
At the DRC we care about you and want to help you.
I still don't have an answer from you...I missed finals, and now I'm not allowed to regster for spring term.
At the DRC we care about you and want to help you.
Now alllthree teachers are on board.
But...you still won't approve the note sheet? I don't get it.
At the DRC we care about you and want to help you.
I couldn't register for classes, which means no financial aid, so I had to drop out of school.
There's nothing like being the most vulnerable you have ever been in your entire life...and having the people who are supposed to help you, screw you over.
