    Following the battle of Lade, some Chians escaped over land to Ephesus

    It didn't go well

    DIE BANDITS!!!

    News of the battle of Lade and the fall of Miletus spread....

    and ultimately reached a certain Greek in Byzantium.

    The plan is simple: Conqeur Chios!

    So they did.

    Spurred on by his success, Histiaeus turned his sights upon the Persian City of Thasos

    Onward!

    Artaphernes sends his regards

    That didn't go well either.

    Histiaeus was Impaled,

    Decapitated,

    and his head sent to King Darius.

    What have you done Artaphernes!? Bury Histiaeus' head properly, send orders to have rebel islands drag netted and cities sacked. The Greeks shall touble us no more!

    Sorry, turns out Thasos was not Persian AT THE TIME, but the Persians did get Histiaeus soon after.
