I didn't give a step by step process because anyone who could benefit from this tutorial will already know enough to follow this as it is. Obviously, the order that you layer the pieces will be important, but, if you are up to this level of detailed customization, you will be able to figure it out.This strip is a reply to How to piss off people !
Now for some helpful advice. Build your custom characters in layers. like putting the eye parts together in a different area from the character. Then place them. This makes it easier to grab the whole "eye" group and clone it so that you only have to build it once (don't forget to reverse it if the direction matters). then place the group where you want it.
It takes some imagination and a bit of work to build a custom character, but it is nice to have one special character in your strips.
