Gorilla kit, some assembly required.
  • Description

I didn't give a step by step process because anyone who could benefit from this tutorial will already know enough to follow this as it is. Obviously, the order that you layer the pieces will be important, but, if you are up to this level of detailed customization, you will be able to figure it out.
Now for some helpful advice. Build your custom characters in layers. like putting the eye parts together in a different area from the character. Then place them. This makes it easier to grab the whole "eye" group and clone it so that you only have to build it once (don't forget to reverse it if the direction matters). then place the group where you want it.
It takes some imagination and a bit of work to build a custom character, but it is nice to have one special character in your strips.
    Maybe next, a pig tutorial.

This strip is a reply to How to piss off people !

He is a fabulous creature. It's always fun to see how strippers morph standard characters to create their own. Great tut! :-)

Zoltar, Arturo has been available in my library since the first strip. But, I have also had requests for me to show how he was made.
Any character could be turned into something else using this type of customization. I intended to point out the possibilities available through character customization. There is no telling what characters someone might create using this technique.

Check out the video tutorials section. The link is at the bottom of every page. It has a lot of ideas about what you can do on this site.

Custom characters are tedious to make, but well worth the work.
