ExpandThe first step of Meiosis is interphase one. This phase takes place where cells undergo a round of DNA replication forming duplicate Chromosomes.
Prophase1 is the next step. each chromosome pairs with its corresponding homolgous chromosome to form a tetrad
Metaphase1 is the thirsd step this is where the spindle fibers attach to the chromosomes.
Anaphase is the third step this is where the fibers pull the homologous chromosomes towards opposite ends of the cell.
Prophase 2
Meiosis 1 resaults in two haploid (N) Daughter cells, each with half the number of chromosomes as the original cell.
Metaphase2
where the chormosomes line up in a similar way to the metaphase stage of mitosis.
