    Is this the same key you used all along?

    No the keys i made broke occasionally, and I'd make one out of tobacco cans.

    Do you have any way to keep track of time?

    No. I thought it was March of 1944. By June 15 the Goat Ridge Lookout generally is occupied.

    Where did you stay last summer?

    I was near Camp W most all summer.

    Where did you stay the winter before?

    I stayed at Roundtop. I had a camp about a mile from the ranger's station.

    Did you ever have a pair of binoculars?

    Yes... I got them at Roundtop. And I left them at Collin's Cabin

    So, what is the real reason you are out here being around people?

    I like to live alone.

    Ya, Why do you like to live all alone?

    I've tried living with people and in society. But I don't like the noise and confusion. I don't get the rules.

    After the interview...Bill Moreland spent time in jail. After he got out, he returned to Idaho's wilderness. There were many disputes between him and the Forest Service, and he eventually faded into the forest and regained the infamous title, The Ridge Runner.

    The Ridge Runner was last seen August 2nd 1963

    I'll always come back.
