    The Water Issues In Singapore

    Hi i am Jared!

    Today, my friends
will explain the many water issues in Singapore.

You better listen or i will shoot you!

The rivers in Singapore do not have enough water for all of us, and the loss of catchment areas for housing and industries also affect our water supply. that's all!

Stop fidgeting! i can see all of you! those two at the back stop playing now!

Paying attention now helps you in secondary school!

For a long period of time, Singapore and Malaysia had a unstable relationship. 60% percent of singapore's water came from them.

The agreement between Singapore and Malaysia will end This year. (2011)

Singapore is using more and more water compared to 30 years ago. this means that we have to start saving water!

    Random Picture ^^

Finally.. it's my turn. So, Singapore has four national taps to provide us with water. they are the imported water, water from local catchments, desalinated water and the most famous... NEWater!

Since our agreement with Malaysia is ending, Singapore hopes to increase the percentage of water from NEWater from 30% to 50%.

We also have the $226 million 'Marina Barrage, Singapore's latest downtown icon. It is a dam. All right i am finally done.

    Thank you for reading!

I hope that you have learnt more about the water issues in singapore after this!

Interesting. Your zone has high rainfall, but also high human pressure, and not a large mass of continental land to retain the fallen water.

The Newater, the recicled wastewater, doesn't sound very well. The next will be the "Newfood"...
