The myth: only Your friends shared library items can be added to your own library.
This is just partially true. You can add only one of Your friends library items to Your library but it's not neccesary need to be shared.
Even library elements built with theme packs items can be "stolen" as far as You own the same theme pack element...

Thank for my friend qenene for leting me steal some of his awesome library elements. I always ask the owners before using their objects (as this is the part of my ninja codex), so this is not really a stealing. Also I never steal any unpublished stuff. And congratulations for the well deserved featured artist title!
And Yeah I do not have driving license, so I that's why I need a taxi...
