Cthulic Heroes: Mzoze PuoBuounni
  • Description

Mzoze was the first high priest, who was left in charge after the Nine got sealed away in the Void. He ruled in Chthuhlu’s absence, leading the people in dark rituals and wrote down all the dark ones told him of the holy laws, the rituals, and plans for a tent to worship their gods.

The people named themselves after the first tribe Puo’Buounni, as it was the first city of Inboxarr that was destroyed by Chthuhlu, and where the sixth god was born. As no towns would have anything to do with them, they wandered about the landscape, living in tents and eating the plants and monsters of the swamp lands.

Mzoze rose up, first hearing the voice of the dark ones cry to him, as he was Deth’s younger brother, and therefore most sensitive to the rifts and ripples in the fabric holding back the Void. He led the people through the wilderness, uniting the tribes and wrote down the law. Per Chthuhlu’s direct order, he married Marron of the tribe Thynn’rikki, whose red eyes and prophetic voice was well known. They completed the first sacrifices and the tent was set up over the spot where the gods had been cornered and sealed away for eternity, as to weaken the thin spot in the celestial fabric.

After the priesthood and worship routines had been set up, they received an order to destroy any human cities who were not sympathetic to Chthuhlu. The people of the Buoun rose up, and slaughtered town after town, city after city. The ground was so saturated with the blood of the human men and women, it turned bright red. Human cities sympathetic to the cause of Chthuhlu bowed down before the Buoun, taking a servant’s role, and slaughtered opposing cities to show their devotion. They chose to wear masks, with the saying “Without Chthuhlu, I have no face”.

Mzoze and Marron ruled for 100 years before being sacrificed by their children on the altars, no longer able to complete their duties.

Here is the next of the Cthuhlic heroes. I decided to do the tribes before doing the next set of heroes. I still have to make the other 8 "Red Rulers" including my character from SGG II. Enjoy!
