Did you know that Eart's overall temperature has oncreased by iº C.? Oh, that's why the water is warmer. But why? Well there are five main causes. There are hydrological changes, solar heat is trapped in the troposphere, large volcanic eruptions, excessive use of combustion, and readiative forces. Radiative forces?! What are those? There are two types. Positive and negative. Positive radiative forces have a warming affect, and negative radiative forces have a cooling affect. Examples include, combustion as a positive force and aerosols as a negative force. That's ironic! Positive forces have a negative affect on the environment. That's not even the end of it. Ocean levels have been raised 30 -40 cm. overall. Also, 60% of the ocean rise was caused by thermal expansion. Where is all this water coming from?! The polar ice caps are melting They are also causing 50% of Earth to be at a higher risk of flooding and 2.7% of the summer Arctic Ice has been melted. This has lead to the destruction of habitat and the rapid loss of ozone. How is this happening?! Well humans are using greenhouse gasses like carbon dioxide, Nitrous Oxcide, and Methane. They are polluting the water which makes the water vapor contaminated and water vapor is the strongest greenhouse gas. That's almost as horrible as a fish's 10 second memory. What's almost as horrible?
