    ------------------------------
Here is a text on how I do my more difficult art. It works just as well with faces as it does with animals. I always save my work at each stage so if disaster happens...

Unlike some of the more unbelievable artists here on S.G, I need guidelines to work from. Always my first step when doing animals and faces...

Get a picture of the object you want to draw and look for clear shapes in it. Here are the shapes I used for my tiger...

From the guideline I work the outline of the object I want to draw. For the tiger I wanted a way to show the lushness of his fur; so I used the blood stain shape chl likes to use...

Once the outline is in reasonable shape I start on the facial details. I use the inside circle to keep them in proportion to the rest of the object...

Put the face and the outline together and add a bit more detail to the body if needed...

Delete the outlines, tidy up anything that needs it and you have the finished product...

    Hope you find it useful...

Oh, M, what a beautiful find I just made. This tutorial is fabulous! I'm sure you won't be surprised to learn that I don't use guides and just fly by the seat of my pants. :-) Your tiger is just terrific. You use guides because you have the basic understanding of shapes in objects, but your natural skills and eye for creating something from nothing is a part of you. This strip makes me want to stretch and try your wonderful technique. Thank you for taking the time to share this! :-)

    >>>> mezmezmez
Oui, mezmezmez, mais c'est justement pour cela qu'il est important de placer le TEXTE ORIGINAL (dans la langue où il a été conçu) dans DESCRIPTION !
  • Maoriman 1.9.2010
Sorry Madame, I been getting a bit lazy with my text in all my strips. Will go through and fix that right now:D
  • MadameCercle 1.9.2010
    Superbe travail : éducatif + beau !

--- un seul (petit) reproche :
pourquoi ne pas laisser LE TEXTE ORIGINAL dans DESCRIPTION …
(il faut penser à ceux qui ne parle que l'urdu ou le français)
