    Whell, it tanked 100% now.

    Movie Gallery is shutting down EVERYTHING in the US.

    First they declared chapter 11. Then they shut down 790 stores and said they wouldn't shut down any more. Then they said they were only shutting down 200 "bubble" stores. Then they said they were gonna shut down 500 stores. Now, the whole thing:

    And they still haven't paid me my whole "retention" (the amount to keep me on as manager till it finished closing so I wouldn't take off for another job).

    I'm gonna keep callin HR till the whole thing goes down. Good thing I found some p/t work so I can pay my bills at least.

    Hopefully they'll keep up their end of the bargain. And more importantly, good that you've got something in the meantime. Hope things look up soon.

    Way back a few years ago, I worked at an Office max around here that closed down. I was on leave for school when I got the news, so It didn't effect me much. Still, a friend of mine was one of the managers, and she got pretty well shafted.

    Shortly thereafter, there was a dumpster fire behind the store. :)
