The origins of the tentacle race are somewhat explained, as well as the gates. Hope its clear enough.
edit: I wont reveal everything till after this conflict is over, I figure this war happened very far before SG united as one country and the race is scattered as a result. The Noonie in this conflict is my far far ancestor. I'll explain gatekeepers next round.Transcript
ExpandNo one has been able to trace the origins of the 'PuuBouini people, but believe that they came about a little after humans came into existence on the planet. There were myths that they were spawned by a massive deamon that attacked and destroyed everything but the women and children in one ancient Inboxarr village, but no definitive proof exists.
The tentacle race's creation story traces their roots to the attack by Chthuhlu on a human village, which also spawned the sixth tentacle. They believe they are the chosen race to rule over the world in Chthuhlu's absence, and to open the gates and set him and his children deities free from the circles of hell.
They believe there are 12 planes of existence, the first being the sky, second the planet, third limbo, and then 9 circles of hell where each of their deities are imprisioned. Chthuhlu inhabits the 9th circle, being the most terrible and ruler of them all. They worship each one based on the gates, the sixth gate reserved for all non-tentacle monster lesser races, since the sixth tentacle was believed to tie both tentacle monster and humanity together.
The only gate able to be opened before the Great Opening is Limbo, where all souls enter and where all deamons exit on special holy days. -
