    Act 2, Scene 2 Macbeth

It's just me. Uh, no. Look at this sorry sight. Did you make a noise just now? That's a dumb thing to say. You did what had to be done. I think I had too much of that booze I gave Duncan's servants. What was that noise? Oh, it was just an owl. My husband is doing the deed right now. Wait, what was THAT noise? The servants woke up and saw what I had done to Duncan. They screamed "murder" and then said their prayers and went back to sleep. I could not say "Amen" to them. Then I thought I heard a voice say "Macbeth murders sleep therefore Macbeth shall sleep no more". You probably shouldn't think about what you did- it will probably make you crazy. Now go wash that blood off yourself. Why did you bring those daggers with you, they have to stay upstairs with them! No way! I'm not going back there! I can't face what I've done. Fine! I'll put things right! If I have to, I'll even smear the servant's with Duncan's blood. They must look guilty! The blood won't wash off my hands! I will turn the green oceans red before they are clean!!!! Now my hands look like yours. A little water will clear us from this business. KNOCK! We need to get back upstairs and make it look like we've been sleeping so no one suspects us. Stop thinking about what has happened already! I wish that knocking could wake Duncan... KNOCK! KNOCK!
