    The heart chamber is completely sealed off to everyone but Maintenance. Its funny to think you work so hard for that doctorate to be compaired with a grease monkey. However, I prefer to think of myself as a caretaker. Making sure she's all right, her ticker is ticking, that she's happy and safe. I take good care of Mommy, and she takes good care of the rest of us.

    At first, when try to sleep for the first time, the constant "ba-bump ba-bump ba-bump" in the middle of the night is creepy as hell. No one sleeps their first night. After you warm up to her though, its the most comforting thing in the world. In the quiet of night-shift, the skeleton night crew just keeping an eye on things, barely a sound but the constant heartbeat.

    The medics all say that everyone's heartbeat is tuned to the exact pace of Ma's heart. The same "ba-bump, ba-bump, ba-bump". A symphony of life and comradere. Music to the soul.

    side note: Have not had internet since saturday. Had to use a computer at library to let everyone know I'm not dead, havent killed myself, been struck by an ice cream truck, etc..

    Library computers dont have a flash update. Cant even make a strip and whine!!!! _
