Caught in the Past

    She is all alone yet again,
    And with each day it's drivin' her insane.
    All she wanted was her daddy's love,
    Which he easily could of,
    But he decided to get drunk off his ass
    And let everything in the world pass,
    Bye, bye to the living present
    As the world is stalled with his resent.

    Mommy died last summer and is now in heaven,
    While Cindy has been prayin'
    That daddy would clean up his act,
    But he isn't and that's the simple fact.
    So Cindy is no longer going to take it,
    She's leavin' daddy because of his shit.
    He doesn't love her nor care about her,
    Mommy did and she's Cindy's cure.

    "In sleep, Mommy was always there,
    With these pills they'll end this nightmare,
    With enough she will be here forever,
    And I will be alone again never."

    And now she is never alone,
    If only her daddy had simply known,
    Cindy needed her daddy's love to escape the fear,
    Cause now she is no longer here.

    Some random epiphany I had. I have mix feelings about it. Hopefully this isn't too close to someone's life.
