My fingers are almost bleeding... But I have to made the ultimate Darth Wader strip.
HOW WAS IT MADE
This strip was made almost purely with white ovals.
First I wanted make this strip cartoon-style,but after I have finished the light reflections on the helmet It seemed like some kind of weird tattoo.
Then I added some blur, but then I realised that hard contours and blurry white reflections do not mix together well. Then I went to angry and started to blur the hard edges, then I have realised that It getting to be more photo-realistic but getting look better. Then I was getting enjoying this, but off course than I wasted a lot of hours.
I have made 3 types of material look here:
- The helmet is a black, highly reflective metal object. I was working based on a photo. That small dots are the lights of a Star Destroyer ceiling. The mask not so reflective, but still a black metal.
- When I have finished the head I was getting drawing the hand. This time I was in a hurry, because I had to go to loo, and surprisingly fast It was made. Because I want it to look like leather I have put some blurry, grey zigzag object on the grey areas.
- Finally I have made the chest plate, because I have found that the helmet and the hand only do not seem enough. I made the final part about 10 minutes. It is made from grey metal. It is a not so highly reflective metal object than the helmet, but still shiny.
At the end I have made the final preparations as I have written in the other Dart Vader strip. I do not know If the object move forward bug still exists or not and I do not want to lose the whole strip.
Lastly I wanted to put my initials in a textbox, but because of a bug nor the double click nor the shift+double click do not work. I was very sleepy at that time (and getting out of balder control) so I have made some screenshot before the publishing and published it.
Some weird reasons, the thumbnail looks more pale and ghostly than the final art, but I think that is because of the blur. -
