I have been dieing to work that "no giraffes" sign into a strip. I'm a little bit disappointed that you beat me to it. It's so random. I can't imagine why would they include that as one of the 100 or so default images. I like the framing (or lack thereof) for this. White on white with the black door is visually striking. It's weird, but that black door keeps pulling my attention to it and away from the strip. Maybe that effect is something that can be used for another purpose.

This is an interesting strip. I like that there isn't a boarder around the strip, it makes the strip feel bigger, almost endless. I also liked the iconoraphy that is involved with the banned giraffee sign.

This comic illustrates great use of iconography with the classic "banned" sign. The joke is also humorous without really having a punch line. This, combined with your excellent use of minimalism, leaves the audience open to choose from an infinate possibility of mental before and after images.
