Heh, Valentines is always fun time, because theres such a disparity between the people who REALLY get wrapped up in it and the people who REALLY dont like it because it's made up. Happily, many of my female friends fall int he latter category. they like to go out and have fun, but dont fall for contrived circumstances.

This comic totally reminds me of a Whole Foods commercial I just saw. They made me believe for a brief second that my Valentine's Day will be a failure if I don't buy organic steak.

I like the story here, it's very relatable. I also like that the girl is the sole focus in the second panel, it seems to put more focus on what she is saying. I also love that the man is influenced by another visual media.

Nice! This one actually made me laugh out loud. Poor guy. She should just tell him. lol

I agree that making it two panels puts more focus on the story itself. I like how the man is getting his ideas about Valentines day being so important from the T.V. The media has a way of making us feel a certain way too often. This is a great example of how the media is a huge influence on our lives.

I enjoyed the idea of the guy longingly think about Valentine's Day but also seems to be blissfully unaware of the lack of reciprocity. The characters used are great too, it gave off a certain warmth to the strip.

To tell you the truth, i can't decide i think she's or a golddigger, or if she's just confused. Or perhaps its something brighter. Maybe she's haveing second throughs about kicking him to the curb. or not. I like that you've used two pannels to tell the story. It's puts more focus on the story itself. well accomplsihed.
