Description
Place object to be masked on top of masking material (in example, light blue).
Click on masking material & then click the Mask icon.
Finally, click on object to be masked. That object will transform. Sadly, new object cannot be copied or saved.

EXTRA TIP: change opacity or blur of masking material BEFORE you mask the object; it can't be done afterward. You can resize and move the masked object around the frame after the Masking operation, but not change opacity & blur.Transcript

WAY TO SAVE:
put a litle spot or something near that and take it together, group it and save it
