    Here you see as water vapor is released into the atmosphere after being heated up by the sun through transpiration.

    Once in the atmosphere, the water vapor starts to some together and condense into water droplets through condensation.

    When enough water has condensed together it will form a cloud.

    After the droplets of water get too heavy the fall to the ground in some form of precipitation.

    Precipitaion happens in almost all environments. I've chosen to use a lake for an example.

    Water in lakes, rivers etc. like transpiration, also rises into the atmosphere due to the suns energy during the process of evaporation.
