    You know, television commercials work on the Pavlovian principle. We’ve been conditioned since childhood to react a certain way to certain words and images.

    That’s true; I react the exact same way every time a commercial comes on.

    You see?

    But how is it benefiting them when I push the mute button on my remote?

    Someone probably gets a big, fat commission every time we do it.
