Bellerophon transits 51 Pegasi
  • Description

Taken from space by a satellite in high geosynchronous orbit above Samsworld, Bellerophon can be seen travelling around Peg in a golden torus of its own ionized gas particles. Its proximity to Peg subjects the gas giant to enough heat to superinflate it and outgas tons of its atmosphere each day. Some of the lost gas finds its way back as the planet's motion sweeps into it. Particles condense and 'rain' into the side facing away from the star.
