Popping Poppets

    Where did they come from? Why are they here?
    At first we thought there was nothing to fear.
    But now there are so many of these little things,
    And there is so much misery that each one brings.
    At first the little beasts would just come around to annoy.
    But then they burst through the abdomen of that boy.
    Then they were popping out of people everywhere,
    When you lay dying they just look at you with that vacant stare.
