    No sooner had the Persians set sail, that the Athenians realised what was going on.

    They're sailing for Athens!

    It now fell to Pheidippides to save the day once more

    Quickly Phedippides! Run to Athens and tell them to seal the port! We will follow as soon as we can!

    Couldn't I take a horse?

    Ehh, for some reason, no.

    And so Pheiddipides ran for hours to cross the whole of Athenian territory in order to reach the city.

    Meanwhile the tattered remains of the Persian fleet had to sail around the entire peninsular.

    Pheidippides succeeded in warning Athens of the Persian plot, but at a heavy price

    After running to Sparta, fighting all day and running to Athens, the strain proved too much for the Olympian

    He died...A hero.

    Meanwhile the Persians took their large haul of Eritrians before Darius.

    Who, being mericful, forgave them and resettled them deep within the Persian empire.
