Description
Don't pick them up! At low tide on the washlands, puzzlestone crabs look like nothing more than smooth, brightly colored stones that fit nicely in one's hand. The apparently seamless shell suddenly develops a series of tightly folded crevices that sprout suddenly into razor-sharp legs. Although the puzzlestone is mostly a carrion eater and doesn't actively hunt, it will gladly shred your hand and eat the pieces.
